The paper reconstructs and analyzes the experience of Socratic dialogue realized by Minna Specht in Walkemühle in the years 1933-1940. At first, the essay focuses briefly some specific aspects of the Socratic method: they constitute the fertile characters reproduced and developed by Minna Specht. The second part of this paper is devoted to a reflection on the exclusively pedagogical aspects of this experience. This in fact can offer us starting points and suggestion to deal with some urgent and complex issues today (the role of teacher, the relationship with tradition).
